In on an annual and the wing spar was found to be exfoliating. The third one of these we have replaced. After a frame is put in to support the fuselage, it’s wing off and remove 400 plus rivets. Spars are sent from New Zealand where a version of the aircraft continues to be made.
An early Piper Cub J3C being prepared for a permit which included having its elevator bushes replaced. Amazing how small specialist tools make a job so much easier!

A group owned Robin came in for a 50 hour check, when the filter was checked, metal filings were found, further investigation found the cam shaft was starting to break down. The engine was sent in to Norvic Aero Engines for a complete overhaul.
This Piper PA22-135 was booked in for an annual. A quite well used but solid and well looked after machine. These Pipers are often underrated but are very capable classic aeroplanes.
An annual was required on an N reg Pitts S1. So working with our FAA approvals Engineer we created a maintenance plan and carried out the work. The engine mount needed strengthening, this carried out by our CAA approved welder.
